A high executive within the hotel industry in Mexico with over 12 years of experience, currently holds the position of Development Director within Grupo Posadas, overseeing all Resort projects for Mexico and the Caribbean, under which they offer several brands and Resort Concepts from European Plan Resorts to All Inclusive family and adults-only concepts. Mauricio is also responsible for the franchise model for new and existing projects in Mexico. Previously, Mauricio led the Revenue Management & Distribution department for over 8 years and was also Director of vacation ownership products for over 3 years; he has been involved in the launch of new brands and concepts and in the opening of over 70 hotels. Mai joined Hilton in 2007; from there he has held several roles in within the company; from Global Brand Training to Brand Performance Support, from Owner Support to Development in the US and Latin America.
A native of Italy, he fluently speaks four languages. He has a bachelor’s degree specialized in teaching, and holds a CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator) certificate from American Hotel & Lodging Association.
Alex, as all good Italians, is a former soccer player and coach, and when time permits, still enjoys playing in the adult soccer league. He and his family enjoy anything outdoors and they have four pets.

Juan Pablo joined McBains Cooper in 2015 as Director at  McBains Cooper Colombia.
Juan Pablo has 18 years of experience in structuring, design and construction of architectural projects, urban renewal, new urban development and mass transport infrastructure (rail mass transit,) in Colombia, Ecuador and Spain. He has worked with  renowned engineering companies in the infrastructure sector in Colombia and Spain where he was responsible for business development urban projects and technical infrastructure projects.Prior to McBains Cooper, Juan Pablo coordinated the technical designs for the EPC and to prepare de bidding offer together with the Partner of the Consortium for the new Avianca’s MRO Hangar at the José María Córdova Airport in Medellín. Estimated Project Cost: U$ 85 millions. Previous to this, Juan Pablo was employed at Gómez Cajiao y Asociados (Colombia), an engineering company belonging to the group, Tiger Companies.  Overseeing the design and supervision of infrastructure projects in Colombia and several Latin American countries, responsible for the development of commercial activities, evaluating behavior scenarios in the infrastructure sector and proposing actions that allow countercyclical business sustainability in the medium and long term.  Juan Pablo’s currently working on the following projects for McBains Cooper in Colombia:

Alejandro (Alex) Krell is a Managing Director of Paladin Realty, where he oversees the firm’s activities in South America (excluding Brazil) and Central America. He serves on the firm’s investment committee. A native of Uruguay, Mr. Krell has over two decades of management and real estate development experience, including senior executive positions at some of the largest residential development and construction firms in the world. He was previously the Director of Residential Development for the Tourism Development & Investment Company in Abu Dhabi, where he led the construction of nearly US$2 billion of residential and mixed-use real estate. Previously, Mr. Krell held senior positions with such leading homebuilding companies as KB Home, Shea Homes and Pulte Homes, most recently as a Division President of the latter. He also previously owned and managed one of the largest construction related services business in Uruguay.

With more than 40 years experience in finance, real estate and engineering, Mr. Drechsler is Panorama's executive vice president in Latin America and The Caribbean, maintaining the company’s office in Costa Rica. A resident of Costa Rica, Mr. Drechsler’s work has taken him to various parts of the world. In particular he brings to the company a strong background in development and finance in Latin America. He has been involved in the financial structuring of multiple international real estate ventures and in numerous aspects of residential real estate, both as a principal and as a broker; and he has dealt in commercial banking, venture capital and other forms of finance.

In the past, Mr. Uribe was a member of the Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Teams of the Firm, as well as an associate for two years of one of the most prestigious and leading law firms in the State of Texas, ranked as a first-tier in the United States.
As a member of the Firm, Mr. Uribe advises national and international clients in real estate, urban regulation, hospitality and agribusiness matters, concentrating on issues related to tourism and hotel projects, urban operations, real estate funds, REITS, major urban groups and enterprise centers, green-field industrial projects, infrastructure projects, retail and large retail projects, complex negotiations for the sale and acquisition of real estate properties with the participation of multiple parties, land use management, agribusiness projects, amongst others. With over 12 years in the hospitality industry, joins Wyndham Hotel Group from sister company RCI Latin America, where she served as new business Development Manager.

Mr. Diaz is the Founder and Managing Director of HECOL S.A.S, a prestigious development and construction firm founded 42 years ago, is currently one of the most respected as well as the fastest-growing, experienced and successful firm in real estate development in Colombia.
Mr. Diaz has led the company to focus on the Caribbean coast especially in the city of Santa Marta where it is broadly recognized. HECOL has operated in this region for more than 22 years, developing successful real estate projects with the highest level of standards. 
Currently Mr. Diaz has decided to venture in the hospitality industry as a developer, constructor and investor. His first hotel asset is the Emile Mercure Santa Marta, a mix use development located in Bello Horizonte, one of the most exclusive areas in the city.
Mr. Diaz is a Civil Engineer from Universidad Javeriana with a Masters degree in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He was a professor for over 10 years of structures and sanitary engineering at Universidad Javeriana.

Bogotano de nacimiento, Fernando Sánchez Paredes, es considerado uno de los empresarios más importantes del sector turístico en Colombia. Con 43 años de vida profesional y 28 de experiencia en hotelería, Sánchez Paredes, se ha convertido en un experto en servicio al cliente, calidad y planeación. El actual presidente de la colección de apartment boutique hotels, Bluedoors, se formó en el Colegio Liceo Francés de Bogotá y culminó el bachillerato en el Colegio Refous de la misma ciudad. Es Ingeniero Industrial de la Universidad de los Andes y tiene una maestría en Desarrollo Rural y Planificación y Finanzas Públicas de la Universidad de Amberes en Bélgica. Dentro de su ‘curriculum vitae’ también se destaca un posgrado en Planeación Estratégica de Mercadeo para Hoteles del American Hotel Association Educational Institute y un Diplomado en Negociación Profesional del Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administración, CESA, en Bogotá. Fue profesor en la Universidad de Los Andes, la Universidad del Norte en Barranquilla y el CESA. 
Durante más de 11 años Fernando Sánchez Paredes logró internacionalizar los Hoteles Royal y darlos a conocer por su excelente servicio hospitalario. Como presidente de la cadena, lideró la construcción de los hoteles Bogotá Royal en 1986, La Bohême en 1988, Hacienda Royal en 1988 y el Hotel Pacífico Royal de Cali en 1993. 
También bajo su liderazgo se ejecutaron otros importantes proyectos hoteleros como Suites Lugano Imperial en 1994 y Suites 101 Park House en 1996 (el primer hotel certificado con la norma ISO 9002 en Colombia).
Posteriormente, en 2005, fundó su propia compañía de hoteles boutique en la ciudad de Bogotá, con la construcción del primer apartment boutique hotel inspirado en arte contemporáneo. 104 Art Suites se convirtió, así, en un hotel único en la ciudad, el cual ofrecía cómodos apartamentos completamente amoblados junto con los servicios típicos de un hotel. Le siguieron los otros hoteles de la colección, Bluedoors: Celebrities Suites & Residences en 2006, Continental Suites & Residences en 2010, Jazz Apartments en 2010 y 93 Luxury Suites & Residences en 2012. Como asesor estratégico de la Constructora AR, diseñó, puso en marcha y operó el Centro de Convenciones AR y el Hotel AR Salitre en Bogotá. 
Sánchez Paredes fue condecorado con la Cruz al Mérito por la Asociación Hotelera y Turística de Colombia (Cotelco); ha dictado conferencias sobre servicio al cliente a más de 100 empresas en el país y es un gran aficionado al futbol y jugador de golf. 
Recientemente, ha sido galardonado con la Gran Estrella Cotelco en la categoría Sector Privado del año 2016. Este reconocimiento lo otorga la organización a empresarios que han aportado al desarrollo del turismo, de la hotelería y a su vez a consolidar Colombia y sus regiones como un destino turístico importante.

Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mr. Mader combines extensive hospitality and tourism experience with the global resources of the firm to help clients to plan, develop and execute their strategic business initiatives.
Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Mader was a Partner of HIA - São Paulo, Brazil, managing consulting assignments for international hotel companies such as Marriott, Starwood, Hyatt as well as other domestic organizations and providing asset management for assets in all hotel segments. Mr. Mader held a similar positions as the Director of Horwath Consulting - São Paulo, Brazil.  In addition, Mr. Mader was responsible for HIA´s annual industry report "Lodging Industry in Numbers – Brazil," detailing lodging trends in Brazil.

Mr. Dickinson leads JLL Hotel & Hospitality Group’s- Strategic Advisory and Asset Management practice in the Latin America region.  He brings more than 30 years’ experience that encompasses most aspects of the real estate and hospitality industries, including corporate strategy, valuations, market and financial analysis, project development, operations improvement, asset management, and information technology.  Mr. Dickinson has worked as both a hospitality industry executive and consultant. 
 
Prior Experience
 
Prior to joining JLL in 2008, Mr. Dickinson held positions as the Client Industry Executive - Business Consulting for the global Travel and Hospitality industry segments of EDS and IBM.  In this capacity, he was responsible for helping develop and implement business strategy and managing key international client relationships in the hotel, cruise line, tour operator and rental car industries.
 
Previously, Mr. Dickinson spent 16 years focused on the real estate and hospitality industries in the SE United States, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America as a Miami-based Managing Director with KPMG and as a Regional Vice President of Development for IHG.  During this time, he provided advisory and due diligence services on more than $8 billion in transactions, led corporate strategy studies, and conducted hundreds of market feasibility studies, valuations and other advisory services on behalf of many of the world’s leading hospitality companies.

 In December 2000, President Vicente Fox named McCarthy to the post of General Director of the National Trust for the Development of Tourism (FONATUR), where he was part of the expanded cabinet of the Mexican presidency.

Benjamin D. Greenberg is Managing Director of Duff & Phelps Mexico, whose office territory includes Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Benjamin has extensive experience advising real estate developers, investors and corporate clients in various real estate matters in the commercial, industrial, residential, touristic and hospitality real estate sectors as well as is responsible for developing key real estate location analytics tools which are widely used in the Mexican real estate industry today.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps in 2015, Benjamin served in Deloitte Mexico as Director of Real Estate Services and Real Estate Location Analytics within the Financial Advisory Services (FAS) practice. Benjamin also served as the FAS committee leader for the Construction, Hoteling and Real Estate Industry Committee for the Deloittes Mexican national practice.
After leaving the television industry in 2004, Mr. Greenberg started his real estate career, as Marketing Director for Arbitrage Real Estate Group, based in Glendale, California. During his one year tenure, Mr. Greenberg developed the company's marketing strategies, which was responsible for the 120% growth of the company retail sales, achieving $22m, from the previous years $10m revenues.
Due to his success in Arbitrage, Mr. Greenberg was recruited and hired by KB Home, the 5th largest homebuilder in the United States, as Marketing Manager. While at KB Home, Mr. Greenberg oversaw all marketing, advertising and branding for the Atlanta, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida communities, which attributed to approximately 120 residential subdivisions and more than $500mUSD in annual sales. In 2006, Mr. Greenberg was the project manager of the successful Martha Stewart Homes launch, which achieved 92 contracts on its first day of sales. This accomplishment is recognized as the highest recorded volume of one-day sales of any single-family home product in the United States.
Mr. Greenberg joined Montaña Verde in 2007 as Marketing Director, and was promoted to Vice President in 2009. Montaña Verde was established in 1997, and performed more than 3,500 valuation and consultation assignments on more than 6,000 properties throughout Mexico and Latin America prior to its acquisition by Deloitte Mexico in 2012. In 2010, Benjamin was responsible for developing a Joint Venture between Deloitte Mexico and Montaña Verde, and continued onto Deloitte after the acquisition.

Luis Mirabelli is vice president, development for Latin America and Caribbean, where he is responsible for leading Wyndham Hotel Group’s development efforts in the region, including executing strategic deals in key markets, establishing and maintaining a strong network of multi-unit development partners and strengthening synergies between Wyndham Hotel Group and sister company RCI to help further growth in the region.
 
Mirabelli joins Wyndham Hotel Group from RCI Latin America, where he served as vice president of business development for South America. There, he focused on the development of the shared ownership industry and business alliances in South America, including expanding affiliated resort and new member bases, increasing new member acquisition and helping create and grow the South American Shared Ownership Investment Conference (SASOIC), an annual event for the shared ownership industry in Latin America.
 
Mirabelli began his career with RCI in 1992, returning in 2006 after serving as General Director for Royal Holiday South America for four years, where he was responsible for the company’s planning, business-to-business sales and administration.

Juan Morera recently rejoined Hyatt, currently serving as Director of Development & Real Estate. Prior to NAI, Harold was a Director at Deloitte Mexico for 14 years,where he was the National Director for the “tourism real estate” practice.
During his tenure at Deloitte, Harold played a key role in supporting investment in the hospitality and 2nd home residential industry. Through his analytical skills as well as conducting research he was able penetrate the various markets and assist developers, investors and land owners with their needs.
Harold has participated in a variety of projects, including national & international surveys, market studies and coordinating focus groups as well as building creative market approach programs for a variety of sectors, including, professional services, Real Estate and manufacturing.

He has worked on a wide array of construction projects ranging from World Bank water rehabilitation projects and wetland sanctuaries, to commercial infrastructure development projects that range from the “simple” to the very complex integrations including mission critical facilities such as airports, healthcare and data centers.
 
In his current role as Vice President of Sales and Operations for Johnson Controls’ Building Efficiency business, he is responsible to drive product sales and operational growth strategies for the Latin America region. Lenny is a true global student earning his Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Ilorin in Nigeria; his Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and his M.B.A from the University of Michigan.

Robi Das is the Managing Director of the Capital Group in the Miami office of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, a division of Cantor Fitzgerald, where he specializes in distressed assets and recapitalizations in the Southeastern United States and the Caribbean. His primary focus is debt and equity in all product types with a niche focus on the resort hospitality and marina sectors. He is currently involved in many of the marquis projects in the Turks and Caicos, the Bahamas, and the Eastern Caribbean. Projects include the Shore Club and Gansevoort in Turks and Caicos, Jade Mountain in St Lucia, Park Hyatt in St Kitts, Anacoa 27 in Dominican Republic, and Old Bahama Bay, Nassau Palm Hotel in the Bahamas. Domestically, he is an expert in placing Commercial Mortgage Back Securities - CMBS Debt - with successful projects such as 111 Magnolia in Orlando and the National Hotel on Miami Beach.
 Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Das was the lead acquisitions analyst for the private equity firm, RCI Marine Inc., based in Miami, FL. His primary responsibilities included new investment discovery, underwriting and recapitalizations through sophisticated financial modeling, equity and debt sourcing, and investor relations. His role on their largest project, Steelpointe Harbor in Bridgeport, CT, was to conduct financial feasibility structure through senior and subordinate debt offerings, private capital and government infrastructure stimulus. In 2013, the local government approved TIF bonds in addition to infrastructure grants to begin the development of the 56 acre, $800 million dollar development.
 Additionally, he has experience in consulting with engagements at several private and publicly-traded companies across a variety of sectors including Carnival Corporation in Miami, FL.
 Mr. Das sits on the Investor Committee of the Liberty Group of Companies in Tampa, FL, which is a private equity firm focused on acquisitions, operations and development of limited-service hospitality assets. Under his tenure as Director of Acquisitions, the firm has completed 26 individual transactions.

Mr. Das received a B.A. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Miami and also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Miami with a focus in International Finance.

Guillermo Estrada joined G6 Hospitality LLC in August 2013 as the Director of International Business Development. In this role, Guillermo is responsible for leading the company’s expansion, development and strategic business planning for Latin America. Since 2014, Guillermo signed agreements to develop the brands in Mexico, Bolivia and Ecuador.  Previous to G6 Hospitality, Guillermo was President of Pizza Patron, Inc. He has more than 15 years of experience in International Development, Strategic Planning and Sales.
Guillermo earned his bachelor’s degree in Business at the Iberoamericana University and also holds a Master’s degree in Business from the University of Texas at Dallas.

With over 27 years of experience in the industry, he has ample experience in the integration of hotel projects. These projects include leading worldwide and domestic brands sucha as Marriott, IHG, Hilton, Starwood and Wyndham, as well as having been responsible for the growth of Grupo Posadas.
 
He also has ample experience in hotel marketing and the time share business.
 
He has been involved with the Mexico City Hotel Association, and was Chairman of the Mexican Franchise Association from 2000-2003. He was a professor in the Universidad Anahuac School of Hotel Administration, and of the Certified Franchise Administrator program at the IDEA institute of the Universidad Anáhuac. He has also participated as a hotel and franchise business expert in a national network radio show.
 
Today he is Chief Development Officer at Fibra Inn, the leading hotel REIT in Mexico, with 41 hotels in its portfolio. His main responsibility is to find, evaluate and execute the hotel investments that will drive the REIT´s shareholders´ profits in the future years.

Michel Montant is Corporate Director of Development for Grupo Posadas, leading the effort for the expansion of the company at a rate of 15 to 20 hotels per year of all the brands. He has been with the company for 25 years in different positions, including General Director of Operations, and General Director of Fiesta Inn Hotels. He was involved in the launch and growth of the limited services brand Fiesta Inn in Mexico, which with more than 65 hotels has become the largest single brand chain in Mexico.
 
Michel Montant has an MBA degree from Harvard University and Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, and is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA).

Juan Ignacio Rodríguez joined RCI team back in 2000, holding key positions in RCI Mexico, Latin-America and Europe.
An important assignment at the beginning of his carrier in RCI was the redesign and reengineer RCI’sservicing and call center SBU’s, where he successfully improved existing processes, as well as increased productivity; starting with the groups residing Latin-America, some in North America, and all over Europe, where he held the VP Operations responsibility from 2003 to 2005 based in Cork, Ireland.
 
Currently Juan Ignacio is theSr. Vice President of Business Development of RCI Latin America, where he has been responsible for leading the sales and services business groups for more than 10 years. Being in such position and in addition of taking care of the core business, he conceived and developed a new business area, TORE – Tourism Oriented Real Estate.   This unit is primarily dedicated to the consulting and advisory of a variety of products and services in the Tourism Industry.  
Under his leadership, several new products and serviceshave beendesign, developed and launched inmain tourist destinations.

Mr. German Ongay was born in Merida, Yucatanand he currently lives in Guadalajara. Graduated from the University of Guadalajara for Business Administration, he also completed the Advanced Management Program at Cornell and the Executive Service Management Program at the InstitutoTecnologico y de EstudiosSuperiores de Monterrey. With more than 47 years of hospitality industry experience, German is the Regional Vice President Franchise Sales & Development for IHG in Mexico. German most recently served as the CEO of Optima Hoteles de Mexico in Monterrey. During the past 11 years, he has developed and managed hotels under the Marriott, Hilton and IHG portfolios.German has held Vice President roles with Milenium Hotels Group and Quinta Real, overseeing the operations, marketing and development of the hotels. He served in the roles of General Director and General Manager for numerous hotels, including: Crowne Plaza Monterrey, Camino Real Tijuana, Camino Real Monterrey, Krystal Cancun, and The Stoufer Presidente in Ixtapa.

Luis Moreno is the administrative partner of the Mexico City office of Haynes and Boone, SC. Mr. Moreno, a dual licensed attorney in both Mexico (1991) and the State of New York (1997), has broad private and public sector experience, including the Mexican Ministry of Finance, the International Legal Department of PEMEX, International Legal Counselor for the law firm of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, in New York City, and an associate attorney for the founding partner of the law firm, Santamarina y Steta, S.C., in Mexico City. Mr. Fasja oversees the sourcing, acquisition and development of the company’s projects. Previously as Director of Acquisitions and New Development at GFa, Mr. Fasja was involved in the construction and financing of over 7 million square feet of residential, resort, and retail real estate property in Mexico. While at GFa, Jaime was also responsible for strategic oversight, investment structuring, development site evaluation, acquisitions and the negotiation of joint venture agreements, overseeing the development and construction of more than 3 million sq ft of projects during his tenure. He holds a BA in Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York. Marcos Agostini is senior vice president of resort sales and business development, Latin America, for Interval International, a leading global provider of vacation services. In this position, Agostini oversees the sales and service team that manages Interval’s resort relationships in the region, and plays the lead role in building the company’s presence in Latin America.
In addition, he is responsible for the resort affiliation, service, and marketing of Preferred Residences®, a hospitality branding program for luxury shared ownership resorts, private residences clubs, and condominium-style hotels, in the same territory.
Agostini joined Interval in 1993 and since then has held positions of increasing responsibility in operations and resort sales and service in Venezuela and the Miami headquarters. Most recently, he was vice president of resort sales and service for Latin America.
He is an active participant in the Mexican Resort Development Association (AMDETUR), the Colombia Timeshare Association (ASTIEMPO), and the America Resort Development Association.  
       Agostini resides in Miami, Florida.

Patricio del Portillo is the Developments & Acquisitions Director for Mexico and Central Americaat Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
With 18 years of experience in commercial real estate, sales, financing, and investment, Patricio has built strong networkof investors, owners, lenders, brokers and providers. As head of development for Starwood in Mexico and central America, he is responsible for growing Starwood’s footprint in the region through identify and evaluate business opportunities, including management and franchisecontracts, across the region, manage the regional budget, and leading his team in a very aggressive growth plan.
 
Before joining Starwood, Patricio worked in Business Development for Grupo Posadas, where he was responsible for the expansion of more than 50 new active investors and the negotiation of 25 new hotel development projects with investors, representing over 3,000 rooms with an approximate value of US 200 million in direct investment.
 
Patricio, who loves to travel and play sports,has a BA degree from the ITAM, and currently is pursuingand executive MBA degree from the IPADE Business School, considered the top MBA in Latin America.He is married and father of two girls.
