Mr. Carlos Adams was born in Mexico City on December 11, 1961. He holds a bachelor degree in Tourism from the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac in Guadalajara. Mr. Adams began his professional career in tourism & travel at an early age through his family tour operating business -Adams Tours de Mexico-, a leading provider of travel related services into the United States and Canada. In 1992, Mr. Adams initiated his corporate hospitality career by joining Holiday Inn Worldwide as Franchise Manager with senior responsibilities of franchise promotion in Mexico and Central America. Throughout his tenure in Holiday Inn Worldwide, Mr. Adams also participated in franchise promotion activity in South America, particularly in Colombia, Brazil and Venezuela (where he resided for over a year). From 1998 through 2000, he acted as Corporate Director in Fratur, owner of the master franchise for Howard Johnson and Day´s Inn in Mexico. Following his involvement at Fratur and to date, Mr. Adams has acted as the Director of Franchise Promotion in Hotels City Express. Member of the executive team that founded Hoteles City Express, Mr. Adams has actively participated in all the stages of the hotel brand creation process, including: lodging concept, product design (for City Express, City Express Suites, City Express Junior and City Express Plus, City Centro) and hotel development. Under his tenure as Director of Franchise Promotion, Hoteles City Express has placed into operation over 125 hotels across Mexico (in over 63 cities and 29 states), Colombia, Chile and Costa Rica. It is expected that by the end of 2017, Hoteles City Express will have over 140 hotels in operation, including the first hotel in Guatemala. Mr. Adams is a member of Hoteles City Express Executive Committee.
